Oh you Quilty!

I have been working hard…and quilting, which is actually very satisfying and fun! I have created a block for the quilt. I need 6 of these to stitch together into the quilt front, so only 5 more to go!

Pressing hard to get a flat square to sew together is really important.

I had to square up all my little squares, or Half Square Triangles. This means making sure they had right angles and were all very close to the same size.

Pressing the squares hard is really important, as well as pressing the seams towards the darker of the two fabrics, so you don’t see the seam through the white, lighter fabric.

This is the completed block, now I just need to make 5 more!
